Fry
Fire District:
Fry Fire District was established in 1965 as a fire
district and provides fire, rescue, hazardous materials,
wildland, and Emergency Medical Services to the citizens
of the Fry Fire District and the surrounding areas
around the City of Sierra Vista. The Fry Fire District
provides fire and EMS protection services to an area of
50-square miles of fire district and over 180-square
miles for Emergency Medical Services. The current tax
levy rate for the fire district is at $2.65
per $100 of assessed valuation with a total budget of
$6,015,137.95 with a net revenue of $3,901,043.00 from
the tax levy. This amount represents a tax levy decrease
from the previous year. The governing board as keep the
tax rate at less than $2.66 per $100 for the
last four years. The Fry
Fire District has a proud history of providing Emergency
Services for over 50-years to the citizens of Fry Fire
District and Cochise County.
Tactical
Rescue Training: Fry
Fire District personnel along with several other
agencies training in the Huachuca Mountains recently.
Fry Fire District provides this and many other rescue
services to
Cochise County residents via the Cochise County
Sheriff's Office.
Multiple
structure in Huachuca City:
The Fry Fire District responded to this multiple
structure fire through mutual aid at the request of
Huachuca City Fire Dept., along with several other fire
agencies in Cochise County. Six mobile homes were lost
along with several vehicles. A large commercial building
was saved using several master streams. Hwy 90 was
closed for over 90-minutes.

It gives us great pleasure to announce our 2009 award
winners. Firefighter Marcus Sykora was selected as our
EMS Professional of the Year,
Firefighter/Paramedic Scott Price was chosen as our
Special Achievement award winner and Engineer/Paramedic
Kaleb Mauzy was our Firefighter of the Year. We salute
these dedicated men! Job Well Done!!
